Suspended 2500 feet above the valley floor and stretching across a total length of 410 feet, the Veilbreaker Skybridges comprise two sections: the Christmas Bridge measuring 177 feet and the New Years Bridge spanning 233 feet. These bridges offer adventurers an expansive panorama of Alaska’s truly untamed landscape. Open during the Alaskan summer when the midnight sun illuminates the breathtaking seasonal flora and fauna, the Skybridges are connected by the peaks of Alyeska Mountain, Mighty Mite, and Glacier Bowl. The experience spans two bridges with vistas of Turnagain Arm, monumental glaciers, and the lush greenery of the Chugach boreal forest. Connecting explorers with their sense of adventure and the beauty of Alaska’s landscape, the Skybridges promise an unforgettable experience.
Homer and Kachemak Bay
Perched between the boreal forest, alpine tundra, temperate rainforest, and a productive marine environment, Homer is a charming fishing village shouldered by glaciers. The area accommodates a rich diversity of birdlife in all seasons that can be explored further in the Pratt Museum. Its collection of artwork, Native artifacts and aquariums is well worth the trip.
Kenai River
The Kenai River is the most popular sport fishing destination in Alaska favoured for king and chinook salmon. The world record king salmon weighing at 97 lb (44 kg) was caught in the Kenai River in 1985! To add to its resume, the Kenai is home to trophy size rainbow trout and Dolly Varden.
